About Us

The Smushion™ was created in 2006 by Eric Elan after one too many uncomfortable naps caused him discomforting back and leg aches.

He came up with the idea after he and a group of his friends returned home from a college football game, tired and uncomfortable from standing around all day. As he lay down on the couch and tried to rest, he realized he couldn’t find a comfortable position in which to rest his aching feet. Feeling frustrated, he called his sister, Sara, and, well, the rest as they say is history.

After several trips to the fabric store and an argument over some faux fur, the first Smushion™ was constructed with love, staple guns and a genuine desire to create comfort. Amid the stuffing, staples and a few prototypes, a compelling version eventually emerged.

Today, college kids armed with staple guns no longer make the Smushion™. Now it is made from high-quality, high-density memory foam and covered in a variety of micro-fiber suede finishes. And it can be used in many applications: as a lumbar and leg support or even as a lap desk to name a few. It also has pockets in which to store remotes. With Smushion™, enjoy added comfort — wherever you are — all day and all nightlong.

Everyone agrees: It’s OK to put your feet up on the coffee table.
